Paternity DNA Test
DNA paternity testing is the most advanced and accurate method available for resolving parentage for medical, legal, or personal reasons. With advanced DNA technology, paternity testing is accurate, rapid and affordable. Paternity can now be determined as soon as two to three days after sample collection. During a DNA paternity test, a blood or buccal swab specimen is collected from the mother, child, and the alleged father. The sample which is collected contains cells, and most of the the cells in our bodies contain a full set of genetic information in the form of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). A person’s DNA represents a “genetic blueprint” and like a fingerprint, is unique to each individual. At the laboratory, the DNA is extracted from the cell and specific regions of the DNA are amplified by a process known as PCR (polymerase chain reaction) for careful examination. The DNA pattern of the child is compared to that of the mother and alleged father. Because the genetic information of a child is inherited from his/her biological parents, examination of the DNA of the child will conclusively determine whether the alleged father is the true biological father of the child.

Procedure
A request for Testing Form and current pricing can be obtained by contacting ADN Vietnam, or by submitting the request online. ADN Vietnam coordinators will help you to arrange an appointment for sample collection at a location which is convenient for all parties involved.
On the day of the appointment, you will be required to bring the following: Legal photo identification (e.g. drivers license or passport) and Social Insurance Card or other identification.

How soon can this test be completed?
The average turnaround time for DNA paternity testing is 3 to 5 days. Full payment for the DNA testing services must be received before the results are released. Detailed results are sent to the individual requesting the DNA test unless otherwise requested. Results will only be released to individuals with proper written authorization and will not be released over the telephone.
Acuracy
When the issue of paternity is in question, DNA paternity testing will provide you with conclusive answers.
All paternity test reports issued by ADN Vietnam are fully comprehensive three part documents. The first part will provide you with a simple “yes” or “no” answer. The second part will provide the the actual genetic data which includes the entire genetic profiles for the individuals tested. The third part is a results interpretation sheet.
Results for private and legal tests are available within 3 to 5 working days regardless of which location you go to for your appointment. For Home Tests, results are available within 3 to 5 days from the date that the laboratory receives the specimen.
